She can get downhill with good handles and attack the rim effectively. Griffin demonstrated this recently in the state championships and again at the Sunshine Showdown. What separates her is her ability to handle the ball in both half-court sets and in transition—rare for a player at her position. Griffin is quick, shifty, and physical. She brings a dynamic element that makes her a matchup problem.

She rebounded at a high level, facilitated offense, and showed the ability to handle the ball while attacking downhill. She showed quickness and toughness and played well enough to raise her stock to a young power forward to be reckoned with.

Her ability to put the ball down and get into the paint put tons of pressure on the defense. From there she drew double teams and kicked out to open shooters for daggers. Even on a night when the shot wasn’t falling consistently, she still affected the outcome with her overall play and effort.

Her size and athleticism create matchup problems, but it’s her expanding skill set—ball handling, pushing the break, and finding cutters—that truly separates her. She can stretch the floor with her three-point shot and plays with physicality and decisiveness, needing very few dribbles to get to her spots. Defensively, her quick feet, strength, and communication allow her to switch across multiple positions and impact every possession.

Griffin handles the ball well, can lead the fast break, and can make pinpoint passes by finding a cutting teammate for a layup. She can stretch the defense with her ability to shoot the three point shoot, but its her mid-range game that makes her versatile. Her ability to switch on defense, shoot the three, and communicate on the floor shows her promise as a versatile prospect.

She has played behind and alongside talented players, which is evident in her confident and skilled style of play. She plays with physicality and decisiveness, needing very few dribbles to get to her spots, using her strength as a weapon on both ends of the floor. Defensively, she can match up with positions 1 through 5. As she continues to develop her identity on the court, she will be a force to reckon with in the future.

Aubrey is a versatile hooper that presents matchup nightmares for her opponents. She can score it from anywhere but also defend any position with her size, strength, and long frame. For LHP this season, she averaged 10.4 points per game and 6.6 rebounds per game. AG will be playing up a class on CFE’s 16U 3SSB team as the only class of 2028 player on this team.

Aubrey Griffin Aubrey Griffin 5'11" | SF Lake Highland Prep | 2028 State FL showed a lot of versatility at the SSS Showcase.   Griffith played the three and four positions and really mixed it up on the inside at the power forward spot. Griffin has a solid athletic frame and had no problem playing physical. On defense she showed an ability to move her feet well. She was impressive on ball switches and got matched up with a point guard a few times. She kept the guard at bay and prevented the drive for a layup. Griffin can also handle the ball well from the forward position. One play that comes to mind. She led the fast break and hit a cutting teammate in stride to for a layup. Griffin has a nice shooting touch. She shot a smooth three point shot and connected on a short baseline jumper. Griffin’s versatility was impressive. She also showed great intangibles on the floor: she played with great energy and also her ability to communicate with teammates during the game was impressive. She continuously showed leadership and made sure her teammates were in the right place and handling their defensive assignments.
