Jones was the Region 4-3A tournament MVP! She is the prime example of what it means to be a most valuable player! I felt like Jones was underrated for a few seasons during her high school career. It didn’t take long after last season for everyone in the state to know who Ava was! She’s a rebounding machine and one of the best post players in the state! White County is a tough team, and Jones is one of those tough athletes! Trevecca is getting a true powerful inside presence! I know they are going to be excited when she arrives on campus! First, go take care of business!

One of the best game changing bigs in the ’24 class. Standing at 6’3, with long arms, and big time hops, she’s one of the best defensive bigs in the class. She’s a game changing defender as she’s athletic enough to switch onto guards and move her feet in a stance; huge motor allows her to cover ground on the floor and contest everything around the rim; and grabs a ton of boards.
Offensively is where she’s made the biggest strides over the last year. She can face up to the rim and attack off the bounce, and is athletic enough to finish around you. High percentage scorer who’s still getting better.

really has improved her ability to skillfully get buckets, as opposed to simply relying on athleticism. She’s nearly 9 points a game with the usual high impact defensively and on the glass. She’s getting so good at attacking the rim with aggression, and her ability to finish around the rim has turned into a game changer.

Ava is one of my favorite post players to watch work! She works extremely hard in the paint. During one game, one of her teammates just threw up a prayer pass, and she knew her 6’3 teammate was going to get it. Ava did get that pass and she finished at the rim too! Jones is one of the best shot blockers that you are going to find in the state of TN! If she isn’t blocking it, she is definitely making them alter their shot! Remember this, “Shot Blockers can completely alter the game!” Jones makes a tremendous impact on both sides of the court!

When anyone wants to mention the top post players in the state of TN, Jones should be mentioned right at the top with the best of them! One of the best blocking power forwards that I have watched. Yes, she is a walking double-double. She makes a stat line like 15 points and 12 rebounds look super easy. Ava has a really nice, soft touch around the rim where she finishes strong with either hand. She possesses great footwork, and she can extend the floor and knock down outside shots! Rim runs extremely well! She is an all-around solid athlete that you want on your team! She has a game that definitely translates to the next level! I’m excited to see who lands this one!

I love watching the frontcourt on this White County team! If you aren’t recruiting Jones & Reed, what are you waiting on? Jones is a true rebounding machine! She is an excellent rebounder on both ends of the court! White County is an all-around great team! Jones can battle down low with anyone, and she understands when to kick out to the awesome sophomore guards;
