Cawood may be the most underrated point guard in the entire state. However, ask around Midway and East Tennessee and people will tell you that she is one of the best! I’ll also be one of those people! When I tell you that Kyleigh can compete with the best of them, she can. It was once stated that an elite point guard should have the second level of vision. For any readers that do not know what that means, it means that you must be able to see more than what’s in front of you. Kyleigh can see the floor exceptionally well. She can read defenses and she sees things happen on the court before they unfold. She’s an elite athlete! If you need a point guard, make sure to follow Kyleigh Cawood Kyleigh Cawood 5’6″ | PG Midway | 2026 State TN !

KJ should be talked about more around the entire state! She’s an incredible combo guard that has the size and athleticism! When you watch McNealy for the first time, you will know exactly what level she will be competing at in college. In my opinion, she will end up being at the highest level! What sets her a part from others? Size, Speed, Strength, IQ, Work Ethic, Grit, Defense, & the List goes on! You can dive in further & you will also see that KJ is a true student of the game. She has separated herself to be mentioned with the top athletes in the state! When you watch all of the top teams across the country this AAU season, make sure to watch the team that KJ is on!
I have a special group of point guards that I love watching because they play the point position exactly like it is supposed to be played! Kyndra West Kyndra West 5’6″ | PG Hardin Valley Academy | 2025 State TN is in that group with the elite PG’s! I’ve touched base on Kyndra numerous times now, & she is deserving of every piece of exposure! Steve Nash once said, “I’ve always wanted to shoot a good percentage for my team, because I’m the point guard, and I can take fewer shots, still score more, so that I can get my teammates feeling good about themselves.” West is an example of this and so much more! She shoots it at a high percentage, and even though she is so efficient and consistent, she will always make the extra pass! If I am a college coach, I am fighting hard for this athlete to be on my team!

Brittany Morrow
Brittany Morrow
We often talk about hidden gems. Brittany may be the best hidden gem in the state of Tennessee! She truly is a multi-dimensional player! She is one of the best at attacking the rim. She is also great at finishing through contact! A great on ball defender with a non-stop motor! She stretches the floor exceptionally well & she’s difficult to guard! College coaches have a chance to see her live this weekend at the Apache Memorial. You can also follow Morrow and Team Unlimited all spring/summer!
Gwen is another spectacular athlete that should be at the top of a lot of radars! I can’t say enough how this one screams athleticism! After watching Gwen a few times, she leaves you asking, “What will Gwen do next?” She is crafty & shifty at the rim, and has a great vertical! She can maneuver her body with a nice hang time, and she can beat defenders off the dribble. She is one of the few players that can create offense for herself. Yes, Carroll is an offensive threat anywhere on the court. However, we don’t talk about Gwen’s defense enough! She knows how to use her wingspan & jump passing lanes! She can defend at a high level too! If you are watching the ’26 class, make sure to check out Gwen & the entire team!

When anyone wants to mention the top post players in the state of TN, Jones should be mentioned right at the top with the best of them! One of the best blocking power forwards that I have watched. Yes, she is a walking double-double. She makes a stat line like 15 points and 12 rebounds look super easy. Ava has a really nice, soft touch around the rim where she finishes strong with either hand. She possesses great footwork, and she can extend the floor and knock down outside shots! Rim runs extremely well! She is an all-around solid athlete that you want on your team! She has a game that definitely translates to the next level! I’m excited to see who lands this one!
