Ava competed at a high level for Kentuckiana Hoops 14U Gilliam at the Run 4 Roses. She was a force on the low block, displaying soft hands and catching nearly every entry pass thrown her way. Ava showcased exquisite footwork and scored efficiently with her back to the basket, converting at a high percentage around the rim. She also has tremendous playmaking ability for a post player.

Packer made her presence felt with her size, physicality, and activity around the basket. She rebounded at a high level, defended the paint well, and showed noticeable improvements in her all-around game. Rather than relying only on traditional post play, she displayed the work she has put in this summer by expanding her offensive skill set.

There seems to be no shortage of tall Packer ladies roaming the halls of Bullitt County schools. Ava is the next up. Aubrey and Lyla Packer Lyla Packer 6'2" | PF/C Bullitt East | 2027 State KY both played every game for the Lady Chargers this past season and I won’t be surprised if there comes a time in 2026 when all three of the Packer ladies are on the court together.
