Tesch (pictured above) has been on a tear ever since we first saw her play at last year’s Freshman Showcase. After carving out a role with Milaca and dominating the post for the Minnesota Suns this summer, the 6’0 forward continues to level up her game. On Sunday it was the improvement in her guard skills that really stood out to us. Azalea is more comfortable handling the ball, has added a significant amount of range to her shot, and is playing with more confidence and versatility than we’ve seen before. Always a gritty, physical presence on the court, Tesch’s game has become more and more polished in recent months. We can’t wait to see what she does with the Wolves this winter.

Tesch, a 6-foot multi-sport athlete, is a strong, physical presence who thrives on effort and versatility. With a good-sized frame and non-stop motor, she’s a defensive force capable of guarding every position. Offensively, she can post up, face up, and attack off the dribble with growing confidence. Tesch plays with intensity and purpose, excelling in the pick-and-roll and embracing contact around the rim. Her combination of strength, quickness, and agility makes her a difficult matchup. With continued development on the perimeter, her already impressive all-around game will rise to another level.

Following an outstanding spring season with the Minnesota Suns , Tesch gave us plenty to take notice of at the Freshman Showcase. Standing at 6’0 with a strong, muscular frame, Azalea is an intimidating post presence, particularly on the defensive end. She plays a physical, aggressive style, and is mobile enough to guard the perimeter as well. The Milaca freshman’s work ethic impressed us throughout the day, as did her aptitude for the pick-and-roll. While there is certainly room for her skillset to grow, Tesch has the early makings of a strong collegiate prospect.
