Brielle Hoegh Brielle Hoegh 6'1" | PF MOC-Floyd Valley | 2028 State IA was a second-half monster on Friday night on both sides of the floor. She started the second half with a strong face cut + finish and never looked back, building MOC-FV’s momentum with both her jumper and her finesse with her back to the basket. Included in her finishes was a big three in the fourth quarter, a putback off an offensive rebound, and a patient up and under in overtime. Drawing a lot of attention in the second half, Hoegh was smart with the ball — she knew when to attack the basket and when to find open teammates out of the double-team. The 6’3” forward also had a huge effect on defense. Her presence deterred many Central Lyon drivers and her defense with high hands was a difference-maker for the Dutch. The mobile forward showed more athleticism by sprinting the floor to outpace Central Lyon defenders.

MOC – Floyd Valley High School saw a lot of promise last season when Brielle Hoegh Brielle Hoegh 6'1" | PF MOC-Floyd Valley | 2028 State IA took the court. Hoegh, a 6’1 PF, is a problem for opposing teams to deal with in the middle of the floor. Her natural height is an issue for anyone that thinks they can walk into the lane for a simple attempt while she is defending. As you can imagine, Hoegh is a force to deal with offensively as well. During her first time on the Varsity floor last Winter she went 50-84 in total between the blocks as a scorer. I’m thinking over the next six months that this will be a main producer on both ends of the ball for the Dutchman. She checks off a lot of boxes already so now it’s all about seeing what else she can put together over-time.

of MOC – Floyd Valley High School. Hoegh is listed at 6’1, she competes at the Forward position, and she has already had some solid performances under her belt at the Varsity level to kick off this Winter. This is a situation where Hoegh will be blessed to play off of the production of their main producer,

. Most opposing teams are going to center their attention around Jeltema and because of that, Hoegh will have 1v1 matchups and big holes within the defense. Now when it comes to her individual play, Hoegh should dominate with her size but we will have to see. If she is put in favorable positions and decides to act first, think later. She should do quite well these next few months.
