The Shawano native has been an outstanding player for the Hawks in her time at the high school level. Nordin is a 6’1 wing who can score the ball from all three levels and create her shot off the dribble. Her ability to create off the dribble to the level she can is unique, and she has improved as the focal point of her team’s offense since the moment she stepped on campus. She has a high ceiling, and she may not even know how good she could be at the next level. Nordin will continue her playing career in the Big Ten at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

I was able to catch about 10 minutes of this very talented perimeter player who has already committed to Wisconsin before she twisted her ankle and had to leave the game. I was able to see more than enough as to why she is a Big Ten level recruit. She is a three-level scorer with a high basketball IQ and a pretty full offensive bag. She is also a deft passer who makes her teammates better. To be able to do all of this at her height makes her that much more difficult to deal with as a defensive player.

The Shawano native is another excellent talent from the northern part of the state. Nordin has always been a quiet kid. However, she’s arguably the most talented player the Bay Conference has produced in a long time and maybe ever. The 6’1 multi-sport athlete may have the best mid-range game in her class, and with her release point and elevation on her jumper, nobody can contest it. She’s an extraordinary two-way prospect who will stay home and play her college years at the University of Wisconsin along with Pewaukee native

Leah Nordin who is averaging 29pts, 8.7reb and 4.6stl per game broke the all time shawano women’s scoring record of 1168 points set by Christi Burden back in 1989. Christi was actually able to attend Leah’s game against Oosburg high school on 12/03/2024 to cheer her on. Leah started the game with 1147 points, only needing 22 points against an Oosburg team that is loaded with talent such as the Ketterhagan sisters. All three sisters are Division 1 players. Leah managed to pick up three early fouls and had to sit the last eight minutes of the first half. Leah started the second half with 12 points and continued her scoring run, adding 13 points to break Christi’s 35 year standing record.
