Her ball-handling is sharp, and she’s a threat with a pull-up jumper. Sophie can shoot well both off the catch and off the dribble, a valuable skill set that sets her apart. She has solid court vision, often finding her teammates in stride. As a sophomore, she averaged 5.6 points per game, highlighted by a 16-point outing against Appleton East. After working throughout the summer with Wisconsin Blaze , I anticipate her having an amazing junior season.

Playing a role on a competitive team in the FVA isn’t easy, but Busch was a prominent player for the Lightning, who finished in the top half of the standings for the first time in a few seasons. Busch was a solid off-ball guard for Appleton North and was a threat to shoot whenever she stepped on the floor. I also think her ability to defend on the perimeter is a trait that small schools will like when they focus on the 2026 recruiting class.
