Brooklyn has excellent size, instincts, energy, and fundamental skills for her age and position. She caught passes with good hands in the post, went up strong to cause fouls, and made smooth transfers after posting up in the paint or cutting to the basket to score layups with a soft touch. Brooklyn was active as a rebounder on both sides of the ball, made a nice extra pass to a cutter, forced a miss by closing out to contest a perimeter jumper, used strong power dribbles down low, and was a positive energy player/teammate. She showed the ability to start the fast break by pushing the ball up the floor using both hands comfortably. Brooklyn gives Groves a clear advantage in the post and she’s going to be an immediate difference maker for their squad. Brooklyn had a strong day for Team 8 at the PGH Michigan Freshman Showcase.
