Sophie reached down to catch a low pass, maintained her balance, and buried the wing three. She drained another triple from the corner, got her palm on a shot attempt in the post to cause a jump ball, and dropped in a soft floater after a spin move. Sophie drove past defenders using a crossover to score a layup and had a solid day for Groves at the DCHS Fall League. She’s filled out her long frame and is developing into a quality college prospect.

Sophie used her length to make plays for Team 6 at The Expo on Saturday. She caused a foul with her aggressiveness on offense to earn a free throw and knocked it down. Sophie made a good read to in the low post to throw a kick-out bounce pass, which gave her teammate an open shot from the perimeter.

Sophie made a huge impression on our PGH Ohio scout during the travel season, earning 15U All-Tournament team honors. She drills 3-pointers and uses her length to block shots on the defensive end. Sophia drives hard to the basket and is going to be an exciting prospect to follow with Groves this winter.
