Chelsea Bishop Chelsea Bishop 5'10" | SG Grand Blanc | 2024 State MI played exceptional basketball for Grand Blanc at the Breslin Center. She was an absolute force inside during both games against two extremely strong and athletic teams. Chelsea’s ability to high point passes and rebounds inside was spectacular to watch; she showed her touch and power finishing off of two feet through contact. Chelsea knocked down a 3 in the finals, putting up 2o points w/ 7 boards in a game where she had to score in a crowd of D1 athletes. She added 13 points and swiped 5 steals to lead Grand Blanc to victory against Belleville in the Semis. Chelsea ended her high school career playing her best ball on the biggest stage and will be an asset for Alabama A & M.

Chelsea Bishop Chelsea Bishop 5'10" | SG Grand Blanc | 2024 State MI led the Bobcats to an SVL title, averaging 17 ppg shooting 59% from the floor. She adds 7 rebounds and 4 steals of production. Her aggressiveness to use her length and strength to score at the rim is elite. Chelsea causes havoc defensively in the press acting much like a free safety to read passes and pick them off. Whoever guards her Monday will have to keep her off the glass and out of the paint.

She long and athletic and gets out in the open floor with long strides. Bishop can cause chaos on defense, engulfing her assignment and forcing bad decisions with the ball. Her veteran presence will be key as well.

Chelsea Bishop Chelsea Bishop 5'10" | SG Grand Blanc | 2024 State MI is the best prospect in the SVL conference period. I had a conversation once about how you know when a D1 basketball player is on the floor, and that’s exactly what happens when Chelsea plays. Her speed, strength, length, and explosive play sideline to sideline just looks different compared to other athletes. Chelsea put up 22 points in 3 quarters off steals, runouts, and explosive finishes. The coaches voted for her as preseason MVP and she will have a great chance to secure that award with performances like that in league play.

Bishop is one of the more skilled players in the state and she showed that at the Michigan Hardwood Classic. She had a dominant offensive performance against a good Columbia Central squad. Bishop finished with a game high 24 points in a 58-32 win

Bishop probably could have rose even higher. She’s one of the best pure athletes in the class, but that isn’t nearly all there is to her game. Bishop can put the ball on the floor and attack with handles and exceptional blow by speed. She’s a true 3 level scorer that’s a constant threat for a bucket.

2024 Chelsea Bishop Chelsea Bishop 5'10" | SG Grand Blanc | 2024 State MI is the SVL coaches choice for pre-season MVP. She finished runner up in the MVP voting following an impressive junior campaign for the Bobcats averaging 17.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 3.7 steals in games against SVL competition last season. Chelsea scores at all three levels with explosive bursts of quickness and acceleration. Her length causes havoc on defense and she is a fiery competitor. Chelsea is an exceptional next level athlete who will do great for the Bobcats again this season.

She is an accurate deep ball shooter who can also stop on a dime to work the pull up game. Chelsea gets downhill quickly with strong strides and finishes once she gets to the rim. Defensively, Bishop is a menace on the ball and disrupts passing lanes with her long arms and quickness.
