Defensively, she has played well – locking up opponents on the perimeter, and making it difficult for them to get to the rim. Spencer- Gardner is also also sneaky shot blocker and generally gets a few blocks on transition defense. Her two-way production, motor, and versatility make her a player who continues to stand out.

She heated up from the perimeter when the offense needed spacing, knocked down momentum threes that halted runs, and showed confidence stepping into big shots. When the game tightened, her shot-making created separation and forced defensive adjustments. It wasn’t just the makes — it was when they came that made the difference.

Known primarily for doing the little things — defending, bringing energy, and handling the dirty work that helps teams win — she showed another dimension of her game. Throughout the season, Spencer-Gardner has impacted winning beyond the stat sheet, but during the finals, the glue player showed versatility and sent a message that will stick with future opponents- she is capable of taking over when the opportunity presents itself.

Gardner Spencer has been another true glue player this season. While both of Coach Justice’s daughters make big contributions, Gardner stands out with her relentless effort and activity level. She is constantly attacking, keeping the offense moving, and setting up her teammates for scoring opportunities. She does have the ability to knock down the open three and can also get to the rim and score. She also brings strong defensive energy and is one of the top defenders on the team. Her glue is her effort — every possession, every game. She hustles, competes, and does whatever is needed to help her team win. That consistency and motor make her the glue that holds the team together.

Chloe Spencer brought the energy during the Women in Sports Day. Spencer led her team with 18 points and 4 rebounds. The young guard scored from all levels on the floor. Spencer is constantly in motion and impresses with her toughness and her decision making on the floor. Spencer is usually that player diving on the floor for loose balls or taking a charge against the opposing guards. She also moves the ball well with pinpoint passes and reads the defense on he floor. Spencer impressed with her leadership, effort, and her basketball IQ.

She made several smart cuts, moved without the ball, and consistently made winning decisions. She plays an exciting and energetic style game with ball IQ wrapped around it. She shoots without hesitation, competes on every possession, and plays far beyond her age. Her ability to space the floor, score when open, and play in sync with teammates was very impressive – especially as a Sophomore.
