Jocelyn’s outstanding spring and summer earned her a well-deserved spot inside the top 20 of the updated Class of 2028 rankings which is an impressive accomplishment entering her junior season. Surrounded by a talented group and displaying outstanding chemistry with her teammates, she consistently proved why she is one of the state’s top true point guards regardless of class. Her play has also fueled a surge in recruiting, adding offers from FGCU, Tampa, St. John’s, and West Florida since May. Jocelyn is a true floor general who plays with poise, controls the pace, and leads with confidence. She does an excellent job creating off the dribble, manipulating defenses, and delivering passes from a variety of angles that put her teammates in advantageous positions. While she naturally looks to facilitate, she is also capable of taking over offensively by scoring efficiently from all three levels whenever her team needs it.

It’s been a very productive few weeks as Jocelynn Hoffmann continues to rack up three pointers and college offers. In one game, the versatile guard knocked down 8 three pointers. One play sums up Hoffmann the three point zone she was in: her teammate grabs a rebound and could have scored an easy bucket, but instead kicks the ball out to Hoffmann for three. Hoffmann shoots the ball from the point guard position, so she spends time also initiating the offense. Her three-point shooting is a result of her teammates. When she kicks the pass to her counterparts, they attack the rim and kick the ball to Hoffmann for the opener, and sometimes they swing the ball in rhythmnand it makes its way back to Hoffmann because of unselfish team play and rhythm – a good shooter’s best friends. She showed poise against top competition, playing tough against Essence in the championship matchup, and knocked down shots from deep and mid-range with confidence. Jocelyn Hoffman raised her stock at the Sunshine Showdown with elite finishes and point guard play. Hoffmann was impressive with her ability to get to the rim with her patented dip and explosive move to the rim, scoring with creativity and touch. She handled the ball well and created shots for herself, including her side and back step three-point moves, and pullup jumper in transition.

Hoffmann balanced scoring with six assists and added five rebounds, showing command of the game while still getting buckets. This output has been consistent with her season. The sophomore has been a steady leader all year, handling the ball with confidence, making sound decisions, and getting to the rim with creativity. She’s one of the top shooters and point guards in her class and she is a strong candidate for hardware by the end of the season.
