Cole was one of the best all-around players I watched and would have easily been a strong contender for the All-Defensive team if there were one. She agitated ball handlers with pressure using her quick feet and hands resulting in multiple stelas and deflections. She also blocked a three-point shot by hustling over to help from top of the key to the wing where the shooter was. She also contributed offensively with excellent ball handling as she held off defenders with her strength and delivered very good passes that were on time and target. She is a scrappy unselfish player who should be a good player on the next level. She showed good form and follow through on her release shooting the basketball.

MJ Cole MJ Cole 5'9" | PG/SG Ponte Vedra | 2029 State FL is a name you will likely hear a lot more about after the Sophomore ID Camp. Cole plays with a motor that doesn’t quit, and she does many of the little things that impact winning. Last season, she may not have led in many statistical categories, but she was a player you consistently saw contributing across the board. At the Reps on Reps Showcase, Cole emerged as a player to watch, and the Sophomore ID Camp feels like the natural next step in her progression. She is savvy attacking the basket, finds ways to score on the drive, and can turn defensive plays into opportunities in transition. Cole is a versatile player who does a little bit of everything, and this could be another opportunity for her to take a step forward.

MJ Cole MJ Cole 5'9" | PG/SG Ponte Vedra | 2029 State FL was one of the biggest surprises of the event. Her ability to consistently get downhill and finish around the basket was impressive all day long. Cole repeatedly attacked from the left side and showed creativity as a finisher, using her right hand on underhand scoop finishes to score underneath the arms of defenders. It wasn’t just one time-she went back to that move four or five times and it became routine after a while. She also showed that defenders couldn’t simply back off, knocking down the outside jumper when given space. Cole played with confidence, and just like last season, she has the ability to make things happen on the basketball court. Her combination of attacking the rim, creative finishing, perimeter shooting, and energy made her one of the more pleasant surprises at the event. Ponte Vedra is poised to make a run this upcoming season, and MJ Cole MJ Cole 5'9" | PG/SG Ponte Vedra | 2029 State FL will be in the middle of the action.
