The Roney name has been a staple in the Shanley basketball community for many years.  Claire’s older sister was a standout player and is currently playing college basketball at Concordia College.  Claire is a great utility player and can fit into multiple roles on the court depending on the situations each game presents.  I appreciate how hard she plays and that she isn’t afraid to making winning plays that might not necessarily make their way into the stat book.  She makes good decisions in crunch time and often plays at the end of the game due to her ability to play without making many mistakes.  She is an excellent defender and is really hard to screen.  She is a good cutter on offense, particularly when the ball is on the block.  The Roney family just might have another college basketball player in the family.
