Vanessa Borr
About Vanessa
Expert Analysis
Mike Benson | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Borr is a highly ranked prospect in the 2029 class because she has the frame of a Division 1 wing at 6’1 and good speed and jumping ability. Her length is also a feature that college coaches will love to have on their teams. She is able to stretch the floor from deep and could become elite from three with a little extra work in the gym. She has the athleticism to defend multiple positions and size to be an effective rebounder. I am anticipating Vanessa’s role next season will increase substantially. She is a future All-EDC player and one that regional colleges should have on their recruiting lists.

The 6’1 guard has been in and out of the lineup the last two seasons, an impressive feat for a middle schooler. Now a freshman, I predict Vanessa will see an increase in minutes and production. She is a true 6’1 and quick enough laterally to defend smaller guards. Shanley has a ton of post players which allows Borr to practice against bigger bodies every day. She has a nice shooting form and can knock down the three. Vanessa is a potential All-EDC player and a nice college prospect.

Vanessa has potential to be a big time college prospect. She has the physical tools that colleges look for: size, length, and running ability. She can move up and down the floor and has the ability to defend bigs and littles on the floor. She isn’t afraid to shoot it from outside and has a nice looking shot. Vanessa will continue to improve and I predict she will make an impact on the varsity floor this coming season.

Vanessa is going to be a very good player in the EDC. She is a tall, athletic guard. Her shooting ability is very impressive for how young she is. She played primarily JV last season as a 7th grader, but look for her to earn some valuable varsity minutes this season.
