About Danae

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play hard and fast, and I look to pick up my teammates before myself. I look to play big and strong in the post, but can also shoot from the outside and pass on a dime with accuracy.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I'm rather shy off the court but once on the court I am very vocal and competitive.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in charity work with the local parks and recreation centers in my area where we serve food to the homeless and take donations of clothing, and other needed necessities. I have also been a voluntary worker with the Special Olympics for basketball tournaments at my old middle school UNITY Jr High and a volunteer coach for younger kids at Quest gym through Chicago Hope Academy.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed all of the above, Leadership, Teamwork, and Community Service Skills from being with my AAU programs and my Middle School teams.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have been challenged most recently as being the starting center for my Varsity HS team as a Freshman. I am averaging 8 points a game and 10 rebounds.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college with strong academics, competitive basketball, and a supportive team environment.
