A 6’1″ 2026 forward who is one of the most athletic players in the junior class. She jumps well and she runs the court as well as any frontcourt player in the state. As a sophomore, she averaged 13 points, 11 rebounds and two steals a game in leading NKC to a conference championship. She also has a strong defensive presence with her shot blocking ability.

It’s tough for a sophomore to impact winning in a major way. It’s also tough for one to lead their team in numerous statistical categories. That’s exactly what Newton did during her second season. A promising forward who has all the tools to truly become a star next year. Size… check. Motor… check. Athletic ability… check. She does all the things you look for in a forward prospect. Her level of play doesn’t drop over the course of a game and she has a high work rate. Newton has a lot of untapped potential that will shine through soon.
