Boyd is strong and was really the spark plug for Kentucky ICE early on. If you look at the video below, you can see how well she was getting it done on both ends of the court. A true fighter who was giving 110% effort every second she was on the floor.

Elizabeth Boyd Elizabeth Boyd 6'0" | C North Oldham | 2023 State KY showed several extensive skill moves in her teams contest against a stacked Midwest Elite Nike 2024 team Saturday afternoon. Boyd, a 6’0 center, can do a lot of good things when she is on the floor. Most importantly she always seems comfortable when things get hectic, making solid decisions for her team a majority of the time. There were a handful of times during the game where she caught mid-post and either put it on the floor into a finish over a bigger defender or made a nice move and pass to an open teammate for a better look. Her passing ability is solid and on defense she knows what she is doing. A player with a nice ceiling, who moving forward could really show how dominate she is near the basket when she is determined.

Elizabeth Boyd Elizabeth Boyd 6'0" | C North Oldham | 2023 State KY nice size, in the paint she plays bigger than her height and plays the post well and for  her size she is a solid post player, she can see the open spots on the floor to make the right pass. Boyd can finish at the rim with either hand make some nice moves on the low block and is very vocal when she is playing defensive you always want a player like that.

Boyd is a very necessary addition for her school team that, from what I knew, was a team with no frontcourt punch returning on the roster. She bring a strong frame into the mix in the interior especialy on the glass on both ends of the floor.

I saw her in one of the shortened games so I did not get the best of looks at her and it can be difficult for some post players to integrate their game into this sort of event. But the way she was able to mix it up against some of the other Bigs I am more familiar with was enough to know she will be a factor this season.

Boyd was doing a little bit of everything in the game I caught. She was really strong on the boards, securing multiple rebounds on both ends of the floor. She was also making great moves in the post and I like how much she was switching things up to keep the defense guessing. For a post, I was especially impressed by Boyd’s passing ability. When she got the ball and couldn’t do anything herself, she located her teammates and made great passes to them.
