A newcomer for the Fury this summer, Oyesanmi added some much needed depth to the frontcourt for coach Tim Ellefson’s guard-heavy 2029 S40 squad. Despite being only 5’8, the Fury forward held her own in the paint all season. Remarkably strong for a player her size, Ella has a ridiculously high-revving motor, allowing her to continuously win rebounding battles against much larger opponents all summer. On top of that, the Tartan standout was a significant contributor to the team’s well-rounded offense. Week after week, Ella found scoring opportunities around the rim or in the midrange, forcing defenses to sag off the perimeter and guard the post, further opening up the three-point line for the team’s outside shooters. In acknowledgement of her efforts this season, Oyesanmi joined the class of 2029 rankings in July.

Another member of the 2029 S40 roster, Oyesanmi has burst onto the scene this summer. Standing at just 5’8, the Fury forward is somewhat undersized. But don’t let that fool you – Ella’s impact on the game is massive. The Tartan sophomore is highly effective on the boards, out-muscling larger opponents to snag rebounds. She creates space for herself in the paint, maintains her balance on drives to the rim, and is a quality shooter from beyond the arc. Oyesanmi plays with an innate feel for the game, striking a balance between robust strength and subtle finesse. She joins the conversation at #79.

Oyesanmi (pictured above) was a new face for me at the showcase – and she quickly made a lasting impression. Her rare blend of power and finesse stood out right away. When attacking the paint, she floated through the lane with defenders bouncing off her, finishing with a soft touch despite heavy contact. At just 5’8″, she consistently played much bigger, impacting the game inside and out. The Tartan product also stretched the floor, shooting from beyond the arc with both confidence and consistency. Definitely a player to keep an eye on.
