- 2/6/24 vs Webster City – 42 Points (14-26), 12 Rebounds, 1 Assist, 1 Steal, 4 TO’s
Ella Sharar broke the Iowa Falls-Alden Program scoring record on Tuesday evening when she recorded a 42 Point double-double. I’m going to say that one more time for everyone. She recorded a 42 Point Double-Double in her teams win against Webster City on Tuesday and it is not being talked about enough. Sharar is a unique talent out of the 2024 Class. She checks off a lot of boxes and does a lot of good whenever she takes the floor, no matter the competition level. I’ve seen her on the high school floor and the AAU scene. Both situations she plays the exact same way. She seems to standout more at the High School level because of the competition level she faces but that’s common in situations like this. I’m not sure where she will be after this season but if anyone can snag her late around Iowa to play some competitive D3/Naia ball, I’m sure she would produce.

Efficient forward who is really productive at the 3/4 spot. Moves well off of the ball and on help side. High motor rebounded on both sides of the floor. Makes unselfish choices. Hustles harder than most I’ve seen at the high school level.

Ella Sharar Ella Sharar 5'10" | SF Iowa Falls-Alden | 2024 State IA slides into the top 10 at #8 for this rankings update as the leader of Iowa Falls-Aiden High School for her junior year. Sharar is listed as the center for her team but plays more of a forward position that can move inside or outside depending on what is being asked of her. She has the ability to post up and finish going over either shoulder. She can pop out to the three point line against a zone and hit a jumper if need be or she can sit in the mid post and move around finding the open spots. At the college level she will be able to play the 3 or 4 spot depending on the program and if her shooting range will expand over time before the end of her high school career. This season she will do a good job showing a lot of coaches that she is a very diverse player that can bring many things to a program on both sides of the ball. Being a great basketball player and team leader in the end.

Ella looks to lead the Iowa Falls – Aiden Cadets to a winning season with her dominance in the post. After averaging 12.5 PPG, and 8.3 RPG, the center looks to do the same this season and go to work on teams in the low post. Equipped with great hand eye coordination, the choice to go over either shoulder, her skill to knock down free throws at an 83.3% rate, and the ability to finish through contact, Sharar will be a game changer at whatever program she ends up with in the future but for now she will try to bring the Cadets home a conference championship and build from there.
