Woodson picked up two wins this week, and Emma Komaily Emma Komaily 5'8" | SG Woodson | 2025 State VA had great games in both. Against Fairfax, Emma used her defense to get out in transition and get easy layups. Emma knocked down a couple of threes and finished with 23 points and 5 steals in a Woodson win. Later in the week, versus a good South County squad, Emma had 10 points and the game-winning defensive stop. Emma has excellent range as a shooter, and her athleticism and activity make her a great defender.

Emma Komaily Emma Komaily 5'8" | SG Woodson | 2025 State VA is a well-rounded player who should be Woodson’s best player. She was fantastic defensively last year and always an excellent spot-up shooter. We will see more from Emma’s ability to get to the rim. Over the summer, I saw her drive to the rim aggressively and have a lot of tough finishes. I noticed from Emma last year that her passing is excellent, and she is also a good rebounder for her size.

Prep Girls Hoops Lead Scout

A guard with a lot of versatility that can play the true combo or the wing position. Has good size and has a nice outside jump shot that extents to the three-point line. A player that can rebound and start the transition fast break. Unselfish in the open floor she a good passer that can set up scoring opportunities for easy points.

At first, Emma Komaily Emma Komaily 5'8" | SG Woodson | 2025 State VA was your prototypical three-and-d type of player. She is a defensive playmaker and a terrific shooter. As the season went on last year, I saw her put up some big scoring games, and at this point, she is an all-around fantastic basketball player. Emma should have a massive year and will be Woodson’s number 1 option.
