NOVA Preseason Senior Team: Public School

HM [player_tooltip player_id='827295' first='Tatum' last='Olson']
McLean has won back-to-back district championships, and [player_tooltip player_id='827295' first='Tatum' last='Olson'] has played a big part in that. Tatum is fantastic on both ends of the floor. She is a physical defender and has a fantastic motor. Tatum is a good shooter and can attack the basket. McLean will have a chance to win another district championship, and I expect Tatum to be this team's best player.

HM [player_tooltip player_id='718370' first='Emma' last='Komaily']
[player_tooltip player_id='718370' first='Emma' last='Komaily'] is an effective two-way player for Woodson. Emma is a good shooter and is very athletic. Emma was first-team all-region and had some big performances for a Woodson team that had a lot of talent in their backcourt. Emma will take another step this year and should be one of the top players in NOVA for 2025.

HM [player_tooltip player_id='738503' first='Nora' last='Stufft']
There are a couple of Meridian wings who should be terrific this year. [player_tooltip player_id='738503' first='Nora' last='Stufft'] is one of them. Nora does a lot of things well for this Meridian squad that went to a state final last year. Nora will be asked to be more of a scorer for this team. Nora is a great rebounder and plays with a high motor.

[player_tooltip player_id='598926' first='Anya' last='Rahman'] is one of the best shot creators in NOVA, and she excels at playing either guard position. Although Anya didn't shoot a high percentage from three last year, she is still one of the more elite shooters in the state. Anya is a plus defender, and Langley should be one of the top teams in NOVA. Anya was first-team all-state, district, and region player of the year, and she will be in contention for all of those again.

[player_tooltip player_id='239387' first='Kennedy' last='Parrott'] had an outstanding year after finally staying healthy. Kennedy racked up accolades arguably being the best player on a state semi-final Centreville team. She was third-team all-met and was district player of the year. Kennedy is an outstanding athlete and a great defender. She is strong, and that athleticism helps her guard multiple positions. Kennedy is a great driver, and hard to move when she attacks the rim. She has a lethal mid-range and can be a secondary ball handler. Kennedy will have even more responsibility for what will be a great Centreville team.

The other Meridian wing that will have a big impact is [player_tooltip player_id='746291' first='Ellie' last='Friesen']. Ellie is a knockdown shooter and led Meridian in scoring last year. Ellie was first-team all-region last year and 2nd team all-state. Ellie is a solid defender and should be in the 15-20 PPG range for a Meridian team that should be fantastic again.

[player_tooltip player_id='389125' first='Georgia' last='Simonsen'] has been tearing it up for Robinson the past few years, and this year will be no different. Georgia is one of the more versatile defenders in the area, with a true ability to guard five positions. Georgia is a great interior scorer and blows by bigger players that guard her. She is a good passer and can play bully ball when she is matched up with smaller players. Georgia is a great athlete, is strong, and a fantastic rebounder.

At PF/C I have [player_tooltip player_id='307651' first='Alexandria' last='Brown']. For Alexandria, it's all about staying healthy. Alexandria is a great interior scorer and rebounder and does well as an interior defender. Osbourn Park is loaded at wing and guard, but they do not have many bigs. Alexandria will have a defined role on a team that can win a state title. She can have stretches where she dominates games, and she has the potential to be an elite big.
