Butler continues to be a reliable go-to option for Lawrence Central when the team needs a basket. Her matchup against Belleville standout Sydney Savoury was one of the most exciting individual battles of the game, featuring high-level shot-making and competitive intensity on both ends of the floor.
Butler consistently rose to the moment, creating offense off the dribble and knocking down timely shots to keep Lawrence Central within striking distance. What stands out most is her competitive edge and poise under pressure—traits that translate well to the next level. She finished the night with 15 points, once again showing why she is an elite competitor and a strong fit for the Boston University women’s basketball program.

I’ve had the chance to watch three of Keke’s games so far this season, and each time she has shown noticeable growth and confidence. This past Saturday stood out the most. Her performance, especially in the second quarter, was extremely impressive—she erupted for 12 points in that stretch alone, showing her ability to take over a game when her team needs a spark. Whether it was attacking the rim, knocking down jumpers, or playing with poise under pressure, she demonstrated a complete offensive rhythm. What has really stood out across all three games is her consistency. Keke has been shooting the ball at a high level, making smart shot selections and staying aggressive without forcing the game. But her impact goes far beyond scoring. She leads by example in the way she plays, carrying herself with a calm competitiveness that her teammates feed off of. There are several moments throughout each game where you can see her encouraging younger players, offering quick words of support, or lifting the energy of the group after a tough possession. That kind of leadership is invaluable, especially for a team with developing players. Statistically, she has been just as strong. Keke is currently averaging 15.6 points per game, and the way she’s trending, she is on pace for an even bigger season. Each game shows another layer to her development, and she continues to establish herself as a reliable, steady presence on both ends of the floor.

KeKe Butler has established herself as one of the premier guards in Indiana’s Class of 2026 and was one of the biggest transfer stories of the summer. After averaging 14 points per game and leading Lawrence North to a state championship, she now joins the Bears, where she will look to make an immediate statement. Butler’s game has grown each season since her freshman year. She combines physicality with quickness to consistently get to the rim, has the ability to knock down open jumpers, and thrives in transition, where she uses her strength and body control to finish over defenders. Her progression year by year speaks to her work ethic and high ceiling. This past AAU season, Butler picked up numerous Division I offers, solidifying her as one of the most sought-after recruits in her class. With her competitive edge, scoring ability, and leadership, she projects as a major impact player at the high school level and a high-value addition for any college program.

“KeKe” is the first of three major transfers on this list to head to the Lady Bears this Summer. Holding plenty of Division I offers & interest, the athletic slasher has improved her offensive efficiency each year and looks to provide an attacking style of scoring punch to the LC offense. I still contend that she could move from being a good on-ball defender to an elite defender with her strength and athletic ability, and she does force her share of turnovers.

If Ke’Adriah has been anything, she’s always been a talented athlete who can get downhill quickly. She is explosive in transition, and she’s difficult to contain off the dribble. She has improved her handle this season and become more dynamic, she has shot it better from the perimeter as well, plus she looks like she is defending with much greater urgency. She has the physical talent to be an elite on-ball defender. She finished the game strong against Pike on Saturday, and the Wildcats will need a big effort from her against Warsaw this week.
