About Gia
Expert Analysis
Devin Record | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Gia has always been a bucket getter. She has had a plethora of 30+ point performances throughout her high school career and will look to have a big impact at Brown next season and beyond. She is such a good shooter from all over the court, shooting a high percentage from deep and from mid-range. Her dribbling ability has improved as well as her moves in order to get to the rim past defenders.

Maybe the least sleeper of the bunch. She went off in the post-season last year with over 40 points twice. An elite shooter who has a knack for getting into the lane and using the pull-up jumper from anywhere on the floor.

How do you think your AAU & HS summer league went? What is your outlook on your upcoming season?rn-Summer league went very well for my high school team we played some tough competition and beat really good teams. We beat some of the top teams in state such as Garfield, Lakeside, Lake Washington, and Mead. I think we proved that we will be one of the top teams next season. AAU has also been very good, as this is my last AAU season we’ve been able to go out in each tournament and prove are selves and continue to compete. As we are all trying to show out for coaches at our tournaments we still continue to play like a team and not let the pressure get to us.
What are some things that stand out about your game? Things that coaches can see and know you excel atrn-Some things that stand out in my games is my threat as a scorer. I am a very confident shooter and will take a shot whenever I am open and I can create my own shots, whether that’s driving to the hoop or a pull up jumper. I also think I have a strong presence on defense that shows in my game. I always am locked in and aggressive to stop the offense from scoring.
What are you looking for in a school beyond HS?rn-What I am looking for in school beyond high school is a strong program with a good coaching staff. I am looking to compete at the division one level.
Have you been in contact with any coaches/schools? If so, what schools?rn-Yes I have been in contact with a few schools such as Saint Mary’s college, Northern Arizona, UC Davis, and Eastern WA.
What do you want to improve on most in your game before playing at the next level?rn-What I want to improve is becoming a more shifty guard and continuing to improve every aspect of my game.

Gia is a scorer. She has a great feel for the game and is very skilled with the ball in her hands. She has a great hesitation move to set up her jumpers or get to the basket. She displayed some nice spin moves in the paint to get her into a little fade away jumper. She is almost automatic if left alone from three. She has game and it is obvious she has worked at it. You don’t have that offensive talent without a lot of work. She was great in the tournament, knocking down shots from all levels. Player to watch next season as she is capable of getting 40 any given night.

Gia showed up big time this season, especially in the post-season. She had over 30 three times, including a 40 plus game. One of the top snipers in the Class of 2024. She led Meadowdale to a state tournament appearance. Rankings riser!
