Gianna was a true leader on the court while playing point and off the ball. She had a great attitude motivating her team to erase a 22 point second half deficit in their game against GLP. She shot the ball well and had a nice touch from beyond the arc. She had a solid weekend and played with tremendous effort regardless of what the scoreboard said.

Bagley plays with a high basketball IQ and is a well rounded player skill wise in all aspects of her game. The game I saw her play for MD23 she was a calculated assassin from the perimeter shooting the ball. What impressed me started long before the ball left her hands. Bagley knows how to move off the ball with a dominant, scoring lead guard and she played off of their movement nicely throughout the game which led to Bagley finding herself open for shots, in small windows, when her defender went to help stop dribble penetration. Bagley did a great job squaring her shoulders up the basket and had her feet set, so when passes reached her all that was left was her quick release. Gianna played well on defense and competed on the boards for rebounds as well. She is a very crafty player who I look forward to seeing play again.

Gianna had a strong performance, showing off her shooting ability by knocking down three long three pointers. She has a quick release and stays ready to catch and shoot. She had a nice block and a couple of deflections on defense and was fighting through screens aggressively to stay connected to her man. She finished with 9 points.

Gianna’s length, skill set, and drive to improve are exceptional. She is the type of player every coach wants in the locker room. She’s a match-up problem in isolation situations, capable of creating her own looks and finishing. Her ball-handling is reliable under pressure, giving coaches confidence in late-game moments.
