Johnson is a versatile player who can score at all 3 levels. I don’t get to watch the teams in the 3rd Region often, but I did get to see Johnson play a few times throughout this season and she always left me impressed, even when she wasn’t scoring in high volume.

Johnson’s rebounding really stood out to me whenever I watched her team play because her effort was unmatched. She was consistently coming from outside of the perimeter to grab rebound after rebound. Johnson was so tough to stop on the offensive end as well. She has good handles and was so solid in every way. She can utilize a variety of moves on her drives and she can finish in a lot of different ways. She uses her length to finish on both sides of the rim and with both hands. Johnson was also knocking down outside shots, so defenses had to respect her on all levels.

Johnson’s rebounding is what drew me in immediately. She does a great job crashing the boards, mainly because of her effort. She came from the other side of the floor on multiple occasions to come up with the rebound. She also got into the passing lanes to come up with steals. Johnson showed how well she can handle the ball and score inside or out as well.

Johnson is a reliable guard for the Lady Aces. She can contribute a lot of good stuff on both sides of the ball and she consistently plays hard. Johnson has a really good shot and she can knock her shots down at a high percentage. In fact, she shot 38.8% from 3 last season. She’s also a strong free throw shooter and while she makes good drives to the basket, she also isn’t afraid to take contact to get to the line on those drives. Defensively, Johnson always seems to be in the right spots. She reads the passing lanes really well and can come up with multiple steals.
