Zurita was evaluated by both of my colleagues in the 3 on 3 session see evaluations here, and both of them gave an earful, but when she stepped on the court for the 5 on 5, she understood how to use her athleticism on both ends of the court off the top. She scored off the dribble, showed solid body control after contact, and she created her shot from outside and dropped it, yep “catch and shoot” included

Zurita proved that she can get to the rack at will and scored a couple of tough baskets in the paint. She absorbs contact, stays balanced, and scores. What stands out most is her willpower; when the initial action breaks down, she doesn’t give up. Instead, she shows great patience, using a counter move to reset, then drives the lane again aggressively.

Zurtia enters her freshman year with basketball wisdom beyond her years. She’s polished player that is already showing a strong understanding of pace and body control and this maturity level is the “wisdom” that sets her apart. With a smooth handle, she does a nice job staying under control while creating opportunities for herself and her teammates. Zurita is comfortable shooting from the perimeter and shows a consistent elevation when shooting. Her combination of poise, skill, and feel allows her to make plays without forcing the action.
