Shooters change games. And if Browning’s performance in Norman’s Rivalry Crosstown Clash match ups are any indication, she’ll change a playoff game or two in the upcoming weeks. In first match up in December, she had 26 points in the win. Then to close out the regular season, five threes for 19 points. Both wins, and both proving that she can thrive under the spotlight of big games. It’ll be all hands on deck for the Tigers in a fierce Class 6A. Where Browning will be needed to step up again in another Crosstown Clash match up on Saturday afternoon. This time with a Regional championship on the line.

Rock solid point guard, who simply got it done against good defense with quality handles and great vision. Rarely looked sped up or flustered by the quicker defenders. Simply played at her own pace, and was capable of getting downhill to create for others with great passes from either hand. Hit big jumpers when left open, as she has great shot selection. But really thrived in her role as a set up, traditional point guard.

has made the move to Norman High School this season. Do not let those rankings foul you this young lady can go. A 3 year starter at Luther High School scoring over 1,000 points in her 3 years there. A well known PG on the circuit whose game is respected among many coaches in the area. A complete point guard that can change a game with her offensive and defensive play.
Halyln has offers from several D2 and NAIA schools. She is also drawing interest from several D1’s Halyn joins a talented team that should be making that run towards the GOLD BALL

Browning gave me a good first look and I highlighted her name wondering why I had;t seen her. Well, she’s from Oklahoma and already in their Top 100, and watching her control the tempo and show solid court vision across the board tells part of the story, so does her handling the ball under pressure yet seeing her “catch and shoot” from deep, she did it back to back, while being defended was nice

Halyn has picked up with a new team and is playing for Team Moriah Jefferson 17u 3SSB out of Texas. Great showing this past weekend at the Super 64 had coaches noticing her abilities at the PG position. Great student in the classroom to go along with a high basketball IQ.

Halyn checks all the boxes when looking for a point guard. Great handles, vision, shoot, and get your team in the right situations. A point guad that looks to get her teammates in a high percentage scoring situation. Pushes the ball up the court with great handles and 3/4 court passes to teammates filling the lane. Again the press stayed posed and patient finding the gaps on the press breaker
On defense she drew the other teams leading scorer both games I watched. Quick hands and great timing created a turnover leading to easy points off turnovers.

Halyn is a true PG that has the qualities’ you are looking for a point guard. Great vision in the open floor as well in the half court game. An great shooter and scorer passing 1,000 point mark early last season. Type of player that can beat a press with the dribble or pass in the gaps of the press. Lock down defender on the ball creates turnovers for her team. A very high IQ at the PG one of those kids that see it happens before it does.
Note: Halyn has committed to a D2 last November Due to a coaching change she has reopened her recruiting process.

Her on-ball defense is a standout, applying relentless pressure without fouling and causing turnovers. Although she has scoring ability, she prioritizes creating opportunities for her team. Overall, her all-around game and defensive prowess make her prospect worth looking into for the next level.

Halyn is a high-IQ point guard that can mix it up and get things done on the court. She is poised, a play-maker, and she can shoot from the outside. When Halyn gets going, she is hard to stop – pure shot mechanics with range. Defensively she is capable of getting deflections, steals, and will get low and guard the ball the length of the court. She leads by example and sets the tone for her team. This summer she lead a very talented Team Trae Young on the Adidas circuit and she plans to continue in her sophomore season at Luther High School.
