There is height advantage – and then there is height advantage. How does 6-foot-6 sound? The 2023-24 version of Arune’s Gaston Christian team may have only won three games last season, but Arune proved to be a bright spot for the team in her sophomore season. Arune averaged a double-double of 12.4 points and 11.5 rebounds to go along with 3.9 blocks per contest and 1.6 steals. During the spring and summer months, Arune runs on the club circuit with Team Curry . Her height is complimented by her length. Last year’s Eagles rendition was very young. This year’s, of course, will have a bit more experience and that combined with the overall play of Arune will surely improve Gaston Christian’s fortunes this season.

Happy plays around the cup and surely protects the rim on the defensive end of the floor. Arune has a great wingspan to alter and challenge shots on the defensive side the court. Happy keeps the ball up high after claiming it off the glass. She still must get stronger down the road, but she surely has a lot of upside and potential to monitor for the future.

The 6’6 Gaston Christian star has made tremendous strides in her game over the last 6-7 months. She is averaging 11 points and 12 boards this season and there appears to be a ton of upside here. Happy is certainly working her way towards becoming a high level prospect. She is doing a great job of making sure she boxes out her opponents and going up high for the rebound. If the ball is in her area, there is no one that can out-rebound her. She has shown improvement in her ball handling abilities and she has developed some nice post-up moves in the paint. She knows how to use her pivot foot to go up strong and shoot right over the top of defenders. Happy is certainly on the upswing and worth keeping an eye on.
