Vaughn was a key reason for the Trojans’ dismantling of Osage City in the first round of last season’s 3A state tournament. Colby finished 22-4 following a pair of losses to conclude the tournament in 4th place but Vaughn showed she is going to be a player to know in 2026. The team’s longtime starting backcourt finally graduated, leaving ample opportunity for the experienced returners to lead the drive back to Hutchinson in March. Smart with a solid build Vaughn scores well off aggressive drives and perimeter shots, including smooth pull-up transition three pointers. Defensively her high motor enables her to challenge basket drivers and get deflections off the ball. Easily a second team Great West Activities Conference contender.

Vaughn has the poise of a natural point guard. She sees the floor well and keeps her team organized, making her an essential piece of Colby’s backcourt. Vaughn has shown steady progress in her ability to make reads off the dribble and finish with consistency. As her scoring confidence catches up with her playmaking, she could become a standout leader in the Colby program.

is quietly developing into a steady force for Colby; she’s an under-the-radar forward who brings size, physicality, and a determined approach to the game. Vaughn operates with a strong interior presence on both ends. She’s physical in the paint, competes for position every possession, and has a natural feel for rebounding. She has all the tools to be a reliable contributor at the next level.

A scoring guard that plays with a lot of energy. Offensively an aggressive guard that gets to the paint knocking down a running floater. Showed a nice pull up 3 point shot in transition. On defense consistently getting deflections, loose ball or just made things happen. The energy she played with fired up her team when they needed a run
