for a few years now at the Varsity level. Galloway has been a constant in producing near the hoop over her career. She is pretty versatile for her size/position but she really makes her mark with how she defends the middle of the lane. She knows to communicate with those around her on screening action and she is disciplined enough to stay down whenever someone might want to hit her with a bunch of pump fakes or something of that sort. As an overall recruit, there is a lot to like about this one’s game. She knows what she is doing and she isn’t the type that won’t listen to her coaches or the game-plan. She knows how to lock in and I can’t wait to see that for one more Spring on the road with her AIA AAU program out of DSM.

It’s hard imaging there are many better two-way players in the state than Galloway. Her length, agility and athleticism give her uncommon versatility. That’s especially true on defense, where she can effectively guard all five positions. Galloway locks down on the perimeter with lateral quickness that allows her to cut off dribble penetration. She’s strong on the block, too. Long arms and timing lead to swatched shots. Many of the attempts she doesn’t get her hands on are altered. Galloway’s flexibility also manifests itself on offense, where she initiates sets as a point forward, knocks down treys from the wing and operates in the post. Simply put, Galloway is a match-up nightmare on both ends of the court.

6’0, Forward, strong with a muscular frame, can finish on both blocks of the hoop offensively, can play efficiently through contact on both ends of the floor, while being a big and athletic individual who can screen anywhere on the court leading into a seal and roll to the bucket. IC – City High will be looking for production this Winter as they just graduated their top play-makers from years past. The Post play of

will be vital to this group’s success over the next two years at the varsity level. If they do what they can and their team’s system works well enough to put them in favorable positions, literally, then they should stuff the stat sheet moving forward.

Another very important piece to the IC – City High program, that possesses so much potential is 6’0 PF,

. Galloway falls into this article of Stock-Risers because of her ability to work relentlessly, while already being pretty solid in many different aspects of the game. Last season, Galloway was another Freshman that stepped up for the Little Hawks in a big way. She really dominated the middle of the paint for their group and she is going to be tasked with doing the same thing this next six months. Compared to Loria above, Galloway stays more stationary under the basket, while Loria will sometimes step out to the perimeter within their motion. If Galloway wants to really unlock her untapped potential, she is going to have to eventually expand her game to the outside of the lane but for now, she should just worry about being efficient at the rim. Something that shouldn’t be too hard from the looks of it with her ability.

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, watch out for IC City High – High School this upcoming season. They return most of their prospects from a year ago, while being a very diverse team on both sides of the ball. One of their main post prospects from a year ago, that will be taking the floor again is

. Galloway is a prospect of opportunity. She moves really well for her size at 6’0, she has a soft touch on the basketball near the rim, and she understands when to step up in space so that her teammates can give her an assist near the basket. Not to mention, that she can be a game changer on the defensive side of things by getting consistent stops or blocks on bigger players she might have to matchup against. This Winter is going to be a fun one for the Little Hawks and I can’t wait to see how they do overall.
