It wasn’t long on Sunday before Fajolu jumped out. With a lengthy build and plenty of mobility as well, the 5’9 wing has many of the physical tools needed to succeed at the next level. But what really impressed me about Ire’s game was her effort on both ends of the floor. Despite the low stakes of a fall league scrimmage, the East Ridge sophomore defended with energy, battled hard for rebounds, and even took a charge on one particular possession. While she may be a newcomer to the Raptors varsity lineup, Fajolu’s innate feel for the game, continuous movement off the ball, and willingness to focus on the details were all bright spots for the young East Ridge squad.
