The energy and effort are never to be questioned with Hodge. She’s a player that will leave it all on the floor. Iyanna is flying around until the whistle blows. She’s a player with a deceptive appearance that has a fierce mentality and is a remarkable competitor. She has amazing speed that allows her to beat defenders to the spot. Not only does she have the tenacity needed to go to war in the trenches, but she’s also a playmaker that comes through in crucial times. It doesn’t matter if it’s on the offensive side of the ball or defensively, Hodge will leave her mark on the floor. The hustle she shows on defense allows her to chase players down or get over screens quickly. Iyanna has that essential footspeed needed to hound point guards up the floor. Regularly she’ll sacrifice her body, take a charge or tie the loose balls up. Hodge is a vital piece to defensive schemes and super capable of maintaining scoring guards due to her powers of opening up her hips while still remaining attached and engaged.

Iyanna is an excellent 2-way talent at the point guard position. Just as skilled she is as a playmaker; she is just as good as a defender. The rising sophomore is fresh off a Class C NEPSAC champion. The Springfield, MA native brings that fiery intensity and packages that into a bulldog spirit on court. Hodges talent will make any team better. She makes plays for others offensively, agitates ballhandlers, is a help & recover defender and is constantly in the right position to help create turnovers. Hodge can push the pace in transition, but also can pull it back to be able to run the offensive. Iyanna makes it her job to feed whoever is hot and knows how to control the tempo of the game. Hodge is a point guard that many would love to have on their team. She’s a team player and highly competitive. A player that her teammates love to go to war with. This year can be a statement year and Hodge can capitalize off the success of last year.
