Macklin has been one of the more surprising finds over the course of the school season. Her talent is undeniable; she came in as a rather unknown freshman and earned trusted minutes as the team fought through adversity. It’ll be nice to see how she’ll capitalize in AAU with so many more touches coming her way. This is a prospect that’s going to be at the top of her class in the upcoming ’29 rankings.

Olivia started to open some eyes right before the year closed out. She filled in and played a key role plugging a hole for her team. Macklin’s preparedness showed quickly too. There was seemingly no fear in route to the rim and Olivia also showed she could be a fine distributor. Her aggressiveness as well as persistence crafting lanes to get deep penetration throughout the course of highly competitive games must be spoken for. The freshman point guard seems to be built for the moment and she surely wasn’t afraid of the lights. Olivia is an emerging freshman talent that can’t be left out of the conversation.
