Putting in 15.8 points per game for the Texhoma Lady Red Devils, Jacqueline lead them to a second straight 20 win season. A 1,000 career point scorer, Jacqueline is headed to Hardin-Simmons University in Abeline to play basketball and be a part of the track and field team.  In addition to her skills on the hardwood, Berry is one of the premier hurdlers in Oklahoma. The defending State Champion two years in a row in both the 100m and 300m hurdles, she will look to three-peat this coming weekend.

JQ Berry from Texhoma High out in the panhandle has already committed to play basketball and run track at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene. Now, she has surpassed the 1,000 point mark as of mid-January. A consistent all-tournament performer and team leader, JQ is a long, strong, and very athletic player who can score it in myriad ways. She defends well on and off ball and would be a big time prospect if for no other reason than that she has a motor that doesn’t quit. The Cowgirls are already a very good team and with JQ’s arrival, they are going to be can’t miss viewing.

Berry is a six foot guard, so that’s a great start. Add in the fact that she is a multiple time state champ in the hurdles, a great softball player, and has a 4.0 GPA and you’re probably asking yourself why she wasn’t included in the rankings earlier. I am, and I’m the one who makes them. Unfortunately, another panhandle kid was overlooked, but we have course-corrected. JQ is a tremendous player who could go to college on numerous scholarships, but has several basketball offers already. For her Texhoma squad, she plays every position. As a “big,” she is dominant down low and does some great things in the paint. As a guard, she can bring down a rebound and immediately head up court. She’s a threat to drive the rim or shoot it from deep and constantly has the defense guessing. Berry is a one-of-a-kind prospect in this class.
