She garnered a lot of attention from Spalding’s defense but was still able to get her points by being aggressive and physical around the basket. The smooth shooting guard has been more physical this season and it has allowed her to get more free throw attempts. I like how she has been willing to bang in the paint and force the issue.

Jada had a nice pullup jumper from around 13 feet and made plays with her hustle. With her size she has the versatility to play inside and out. She played with a lot of energy and was always looking to attack the basket or jump the lane for a steal.

Very impressive overall outing for Jada. She has grown a bit, and her length was on full display on the defensive side of the ball. She is an excellent on ball defender and really excels in the press where she covers a lot of ground and shows great instincts. She made some tough buckets against good defense and dished out some physical play of her own.

Jada showed three range ailing a couple of set shots from beyond the arc. She had a nice step through move in traffic to make a play when it appeared that there was no play to be made. Her most impressive play was running down the ball handler on the break and getting the clean blocked shot to save the possession.

Jada played complete games knocking down the three consistently but also getting in the lane to score. She mixed it up inside going after rebounds and showed the willingness to do whatever was needed to help her team win.

Jada plays with no fear and that’s what separates her from the average sophomore. She will attack in transition and in the half court and seeks out the contact. She was crafty at finding her gaps in the defense for a midrange pull up jumper.

In her first big IAAM match-up the freshman guard more than held her own. She was under heavy pressure as soon as she checked in, but she kept her composure and kept her dribble active for the most part. As the game went on she got more and more comfortable and started asserting herself. She sank a big three pointer in the fourth quarter which really seemed to boost her confidence.

Jada is a smooth combo guard that can make shots from all over the court. She has good length, good instincts and doesn’t get sped up. Her natural poise will come in handy in the tough IAAM conference.

Usually freshmen coming into top level programs “wait their turn” to shine, Jada apparently didn’t get the memo. She is super aggressive and fearless and will go at anyone who is in front of her. She throws her body around and gets to the line, she also keeps her dribble alive when pressured.
