Her poise under pressure playing has helped her to become one of the state’s best kept secrets, and her explosiveness off the dribble was on full display as she blew by defenders to score. Johnson is one of those players who sold me the first time I saw her because she was fearless and played under control while playing up, so when I say I don’t need a blueprint, I just know, so seeing her explode past defenders at the camp was nice. Her “on the ball” pressure was solid, she saw the floor in transition as we as in the set, and she dropped jumpers. She also made it to the finals in the X layups against her Lady Thunder teammate

Johnson can be electrifying with the ball, and her showing the turbo to blow by defenders and score has always been a treat, but her “on the ball” pressure coupled with quick hands added fuel to the fire as she made steals, made plays, saw the floor, and hit teammates

Johnson was clueless about me telling her that JJ always brings Good Times because she’s DYNOMITE but let me go on the limb with she’s one of the top sophomores many don’t know about and peep this, you know that limb is strong if I’m on it. Her poise before high school coupled with her speed sold me, I’m not a NOVICE, I’m a REAL EVALUATOR so I knew what was coming. My notes from the game are invisible yet embedded in my head, I didn’t have to write a thing but her pull-up jumper coupled with her soft touch was big all night. She scored off the dribble, she saw the floor and she did a good job defensively across the board

Johnson is electrifying with the ball, I said that before she entered high school and I knew what was coming, no, not because I’m clairvoyant, because I’m a REAL EVALUATOR. #6-Johnson falls into that #sizedontmatter group and based on my years of experience, she’s going to raise a lot of eyebrows from several next-level coaches because she can flat-out play. FEARLESS is one of the words that immediately come time mind and following at a close second is EXPLOSIVENESS so no matter the setting, she’s going all out. Her pull-up jumper as well as acrobatic finishes after contact are two of her strongest intangibles yet her court vision as well as “on the ball” are in the mix as well. She dives for loose balls, takes charges, and THINKS the game

Johnson took a hard lick and didn’t get to finish yet she sent messages early that she was going to be hard to handle. Well, THAT is an understatement because the FIRST time I saw her blazing me playing up, I knew she was a #D1Lock in the making.
