Owens already impressed me with her athleticism when I caught her playing for Coach Maggie and the Lady Thunder see evaluations here, and @playerrimedies has already dropped her on a Tip Sheet but seeing her create havoc on the defensive end and see the floor in transition shows “on-the-court” progression

Good defensive footwork on the perimeter, using her feet and body positioning to contain her matchup and stay in front. She also plays bigger than her size, especially when it comes to rebounding. Does a nice job getting into the mix and coming away with boards over bigger defenders. Her activity forces opponents to stay honest and put a body on her instead of assuming size alone will win the rebounding battle.

Owens was sizzling, pun intended, as she sliced by defenders to get to the basket and score. She’s another “long and athletic” guard who not only played the passing lane and solid pressure on defense, but I’m giving her a #THROWBACK for diving on the floor for loose balls
