As a freshman, she really has been a solid competitor for Fairmont. Displays great court sense and composure when under pressure. Has quick feet and a powerful first step to the rim. Very sharp and creative passer. She crashes the boards and anticipates passes effectively and finishes in the proper location.
Highlights
She has seized the role of a leader as a freshman and not only leads this unbeaten team in scoring but also in 3-point shooting. She is a really skilled freshman who continues to improve in her game. Through the course of the season, her defense has increased significantly, frequently defending the top player on the opposing side. Has a high motor while playing and always tries her hardest; very explosive. Accelerates the pace and completes the break at the rim.
As a freshman, she dominated the Dayton City League, plays with great body control, and has made significant improvements to her game. Averages around 18 points per game and grabs 9 boards each game, making her a powerhouse around the rim. Excellent agility and handling skills allow for the creation of shoots and rim finishing. As her game keeps getting better, she has scored 20 points in 5 of her last 7 games. Good on-ball defender who can force you to make errors.
What a significant improvement she has made on a talented team. Bella has played an important role for the Elks’ performance this season, which has been essential at times. Can defend as well as the majority of freshmen, plays well both on and off the ball, and has the ability to cause turnovers. She can make the three from deep, and also penetrate to the rim. She carries herself well and performs beyond her years. Look for her to keep getting better when she plays with the Vipers in the summer.
As her freshman season has gone on, she has grown more at ease with the game. She has scored in the double digits 7 times in the last 9 games, including 21 against Greenville. She has excellent court vision, the ability to make the difficult pass to the open player, and the ability to manage the game’s pace. She is athletic and quick, and she can score from outside or close to the basket. Hard-working, with a strong work ethic, and playing with a lot of enthusiasm for victory.
