Jayla is a tough cover every game for any opponent guarding her. She plays extremely hard and plays until the whistle blows. Bonds is a point guard who dominates the paint at her command. She uses a right to left crossover that leads her to a signature left hand layup, typically catching defenders off guard. She runs the pick and roll high and on the elbows, putting her in position to create some angles for her to attack the rim or pull up for a midrange shot. Bonds is also a hound on the defensive end of the floor. Her lateral quickness and strength allow her to stay in front of the shiftiest of players. Bonds has quick hands on the defensive end, she likes to go for steals and gets out on the break, creating easy offense for herself.

Bonds is guard who will find success next year in high school with her menacing attacks and tough demeanor.
