Constant, like PCN as a whole, was off her game in the first half. But she came out of the locker room on fire and left the game a champion (for the second time). She went for 16 points, with 15 of them coming after the break. Got it going with a couple triples, while also feasting in transition by scoring or setting up her teammates. UNLV is getting a guard with a great mix of smooth play and explosive quickness.

Electrifying Constant may be a newcomer to Putnam City North, but she’s no stranger to blowing past defenders in Oklahoma. As she’s been turning defender’s heads and hips since her freshman year at Putnam City West. Plays with the ball on a string and is equally quick. As one of the top recruits in Oklahoma, she has a top 8 of Wichita State, Wake Forest, Tulsa, UNLV, Tulane, Houston, Missouri State and Arkansas.

After Constant helped guided Putnam City West to the 2023 Class 6A, she’s been a road warrior. Playing against top national competition with her prep school and AAU programs. She’s a quick guard, with ankle snatching abilities. Can get to the rim or smoothly pull up off the dribble. Always a must watch prospect, who brings a “wow” moment or two to her games. Wake Forrest, UTSA and Houston are her newest offers.

One of the most electric players in Oklahoma had her full offensive arsenal going. Made stepback jumpers from beyond the arc look crisp and smooth. Was a key part of GRIND’s breakneck pace and pushing it in transition. Had a couple wilder passes later in the contest, but overall was on point and accurate as a distributor. Speed kills, especially when paired with the handles and scoring chops that Constant has.

Lightning quick with a killer crossover and jumper to go with, Constant was a problem all season long as she led Putnam City West to the Class 6A State Championship. The junior can change games as a scorer, while also dropping big time dimes as a play maker with great vision. This spring has saw her earn offers from Oklahoma State, Louisville and more. Expect for more college interest to come for the dynamic lead guard.

Considered among one of the top players in Oklahoma Jayla has been written on before so read those articles for evaluation.. Multiple D 1 offers already. I would do injustice to list some of the top players I saw this weekend and not list this young lady. A guard that can play anywhere on the floor and score in many ways,. Impressive was the long passes to her teammates on fastbreaks. The 3/4 court dimes thrown you just do not see much. Enjoyed watching her team and her play

Constant is a “long and athletic” guard who has already mastered the “stop and pop” in transition. She scores off the dribble, understands how to set he defender to attack the basket with either hand and even better, she finishes with both hands, after contact. Her body control is nice, so is her court vision plus she does a good job defending “on the ball” baseline to baseline

I got to see Jayla recently as PC West finally knocked off their nemesis Edmond North in Tulsa and she was a HUGE part of what the Patriots did on both ends of the floor. She is a floor general who controls the flow of the game with the ball in her hands, but more than that, her ability to create and get to the rim causes a LOT of problems for defenses. Surrounded by other very talented players, as she is at PC West, Jayla racks up the assists with lightning quick speed and even quicker decision making. She is dedicated on the defensive end and did some tremendous things to show that she is a well-rounded athlete. She is bouncy, fast, tall, and long, and I think her game will translate nicely to the next level.
