The Lanesboro standout was one of the top performers all weekend, scoring 86 points—fourth-most in 17U D1—including games of 21 and 29 points. Rated No. 53 in our rankings, Storhoff (pictured above) is a knockdown shooter with deep range, hitting 10 threes over five games. A proven scorer who averaged 20.4 points as a junior, she plays strong off two feet, finishes creatively around the rim, and sets up teammates with her passing. Perhaps most importantly, she competes with a joy that shines through and will make her a valuable asset at the next level.

The Air Minnesota guard made a big impact on Sunday, giving one of the best showings we saw throughout the day. Recently named as an honorable mention among our top 10 prospects in Southeastern Minnesota, there was nothing surprising about Storhoff’s performance. From the tip-off the 5’7 guard took control of the court showing off some of her exquisite guard skills in 3 x 3 play. From her oppressive defense to the numerous circus shots she made around the rim, Jensyn gave us much to take notice of. She displayed some superior athleticism later in the day, using her quick lateral movement to shut down multiple ball handlers. One of the highlights of the day was a play where Storhoff sagged off on her player to open up the passing lane and elevated high into the air to steal the ball when it came her way. She finished things off with a bucket on the fast break.

Jensyn Storhoff is inevitable. Storhoff was someone that I highlighted prior to this tournament to start the weekend and she showed out in a number of ways throughout her four games. She may not of scored 30 points in any game but in every contest, she was a constant at getting her own, while making the others around her better. One of the biggest questions college coaches ask of a prospect when determining their collegiate level or division is, “Do they make the others around them better?” In Storhoff’s case, the answer is always a resounding yes, even if she isn’t having the best game or best day on the court. When you have someone like this, you can count on them to always produce in some shape or form and that’s what we saw this weekend. Don’t get me wrong, she was holding her own in the scoring department each game but her best ability is making other around her look great. That’s something that is hard to do consistently, no matter who you play with.

I recently did an evaluation about Stofhoff from her competition on the PGH a few weeks ago but she is going to come into this event as a prospect with one of the highest ceilings. Honestly, she keeps it simple and just takes what the defense gives her. If they don’t give her much, she is very good at creating in her own ways or passing the ball and repositioning herself within her team’s offense. She is going to be someone that is playing up a grade level but I still think she will be one of the best in the gym throughout the weekend. If a few weeks ago and last season was any indication of what she can do, she is going to thrive in the long run. She already has some D2 interest to compete at the next level but I think that is going to grow. If she stays consistent, her phone should be ringing off the hook with potential recruiters these next few months.

both in person and on video. Every time she seems to take the floor, she makes something happen. Storhoff is an impressive Guard, that has been fantastic ever since I saw her as a Freshman on the road last Spring. She stood out to me at the 17U level and that play-style has only gotten better with time. This past weekend Storhoff was excellent, especially in her team’s last game against a well ran program in Example Academy out of Chicago. I was originally sitting down to see some players from Iowa competing in this contest but Storhoff stole the show. She was dishing out Assists, scoring in bunches from all three levels, and really feeling herself in every way imaginable whenever she touched the ball. Coming into this AAU season, she has taken a few collegiate visits to D2 programs but this is just the tip of the iceberg. The way she makes things happen and how she makes everyone else around her better is Division 1-esk. If she stays on the path she is currently on, I would be shocked if she didn’t have a D1 offer by the time her Sophomore year of high school ball starts up. She is that impactful on both sides of the floor.
