Defensive minded guard, who was causing havoc at OU team camp. Plays quick and strong on the ball, with a willingness to get on the floor to make the tough plays. Was a good finisher at the rim, hitting shots with both hands. Including nice giant killer floaters over taller defenders. With quickness and grit, Herron is a heart over height guard. Who combines with fellow senior Lady Redhawks to create a dynamic trio of seniors with the experience and grit to make life hard on the opposition.

Jhazzy brings possess the complete package when you describe her game. Good handles use a varsity of ways to get by her defender. The first is a nice crossover that she sells very well getting the defender to lean one way so she can attack the other way. Second is she backs them down using her body so she can play off the bump to determine which way she is going. A good shooter from the 3-point line as well as a 15 ft out pullup jumper off the dribble. Enjoyed watching the set up meaning she was just waiting for the defense to commit so she can deliver a nice pass for the assist.
Solid defense on the ball and rotating in help. Quick hands and good timing lead to on the ball steals. The timing seemed to be just right where the ball was left handing. Looking forward to following the 2027 guard as she part of a young Union team that will make noise this upcoming season.

A speedy guard, Herron is a transition threat. While also being a shifty attacker in the halfcourt, capable of finding and scoring in the gaps in the 6-12 foot range. Good crossover, which opened up opportunities for her extended floater. Which was on point in all these highlights. Has good footwork on drives, and impressively had highlights finishing with both hands. Looks to be off to a strong start to her 16U AAU campaign, which should set the stage for a breakout junior season.

Herron falls into that #sizedontmatter group and when you factor in she’s an athletic guard who brought heat on both ends, the size didn’t matter. Her full-court pressure was solid, and she scored off the dribble, showing nice body control on her finishes

Jhazman is a dynamic point guard who takes control of the court and sets the tone for her team. Her ability to attack the rim is impressive, as she consistently scores at a high level. She also has a sneaky shot-making ability, which catches defenders off-guard and allows her to make them pay from beyond the arc. Jhazmyn’s skill at creating space for her shot is evident in her ability to attack and change direction with the ball. Overall, Jhazmyn’s ability to control the game and score in a variety of ways make her a valuable asset to any team. Jhazman also left camp as the 1v1 Champion and I look froward to seeing more of her this spring/summer.
