Shipley had some outstanding performances for West Greene High School last season. She showed that she can take over games in multiple ways, and as she develops as a player, these avenues to big games will only broaden.
One way she impacts games heavily is her shot blocking. She is extremely good at timing her jumps in contesting and blocking shots. Her defensive prowess was on full display against Chuckey-Doak High School where she recorded eight blocks. In that same contest she showed another ability she has, that being her rebounding. She had 17 rebounds against Chuckey-Doak.
Shipley simply does a great job at positioning herself and using her size to her advantage when getting boards. It will be exciting to see how Shipley and West Greene play in her junior season.
