Popyk is ready to take her talents to Gannon University next year. After watching Popyk play on Friday, I think they got a steal. She’s a different player this season. She has a confidence and a toughness that has carried her to a different level. Popyk manipulated matchups in this game by attacking the lane with physicality, using a top notch mid range game and also working with her back to the basket against smaller defenders. She had a length mismatch that she used on the glass and as a way to flip a floater over the top of the defense.
