Grass Lake High School is going to have a phenomenal school season this year and I had the blessing of finding another reason why. 2026 Mya Viegelahn Mya Viegelahn 5’8″ | SG Grass Lake | 2026 State MI was a top performer during the morning session and she did it in every facet of the game. Mya displayed exceptional ball handling during the stationary drills and was atop her group in stance and ball control. She made a contested layup off one foot, getting to the rim in two dribbles. Mya showed a team first attitude by helping girls fill the correct lines and clapping to keep team energy high. She dropped middle into help and then closed out fast with control. Mya has length, quickness, handles, positive energy, and shooting accuracy that will make her an outstanding prospect.
Jordan Popyk Jordan Popyk 6’1″ | SF Novi | 2024 State MI is a name everyone is well aware of and she once again looked the part in a high pressure situation. Jordan swished a couple shots from top of the key with her trademark high releasing shooter’s touch. She also dished some strong entry passes and high-fived teammates on the court. One of her more impressive moves on the day was a catch from the wing, drive middle, then spin dribble seal and finish with her left hand. Jordan is a wing with the handles, height, and attitude to make an impression whenever she plays.
Highlights
Christen Banks Christen Banks 5’8″ | CG Southfield A&T | 2025 State MI is a 2025 who plays the game strong and downhill. I first watched her with Lady Playmakers this summer against my team and she absolutely terrorizes defenders with how relentless she is getting to the rim and finishing every play. Christen is also an aggressive on ball defender who moves with lateral quickness, while remaining low and balanced. I wrote down that Christen is ALWAYS battling for a rebound on both ends, sealing and pinning her defender, and finishing strong. She ripped the ball high, split through defenders and finished in traffic. Christen is a prospect we want to keep seeing more of.
Leyana Nemer
Leyana Nemer
Leyana Nemer had a very impressive day at the showcase. She has put in an enormous amount of hard work as you will see by her Twitter page, and has a visible passion for the game. Leyana has strong passing abilities and vision on the court. She is a deadly outside shooter as she demonstrated by sinking mutliple triples from the top of the key. Leyana also has the ball control and quickness to attack the basket and finish with her left in traffic. She is a competitor that will continue making waves moving forward.
Alison Farr Alison Farr 5’5″ | PG Howell | 2025 State MI is a 2025 CG who is a seasoned participant and playmaker at these events. She played exceptional basketball at David Barns and did no less here today. A highlight she had today was fixing another girl’s number pinned on the back of her shirt that was stuck in her hair. She just did it without even thinking about it and that’s what makes her special. Alison hit the outside jumper, made lengthy passes, handled the ball with precision, and stood above with her communication as usual. Alison is a top prospect who can and does everything to make her team better whenever she laces up her basketball shoes.

Julia Nourredine
Julia Nourredine
Julia Noureddine is a 2026 CG out of Grosse Ile who wowed me today. One session was not enough for this girl, she wanted to play in both! Julia somehow has slipped through the cracks and made the most of her chance to be noticed today. She is a quick and elusive CG who showed off her sharpshooting by filling up the hoop from 3 all over the court. Julia has the quickness and ball handling control to take it to the hole and finish as she did on a baseline drive. Julia is a knockdown 3 point shooter and she plays the game with high energy whether she is in or leading D Up chants on the sideline with teammates. In 1v1 drills, Julia took a drive into the chest of a bigger defender and finished high off the glass with her left. Julia has an outstanding inside out dribble and we are excited to have her registered for our Top 250 Expo!
Amelia Levine Amelia Levine PF Mumford | 2024 State MI was another Lady Playmakers prospect who made quite the impression today. She is a 2024 with strength, phenomenal footwork, and finishing moves in the low post. Amelia also stayed for both sessions giving me a great look at how tough and determined she is on the court. She finished contested shots around the rim using reverse pivots and power ups in traffic. Amelia also can handle the ball with both hands under control. She drained mid range shots and made layups after ripping from the wing. Amelia was a standout defensive player and leader in the back row during shell drill: her vocal presence is impressive. Amelia made her presence felt on the court today and is someone schools need to notice before she graduates.
Natasha Shell Natasha Shell 5'3" | PG Cass Tech | 2027 State MI
Natasha Shell Natasha Shell 5'3" | PG Cass Tech | 2027 State MI
Natasha made a big impression on our scouts at the PGH Showcase a couple weeks ago and she showed off those same abilities today at the U of M Dearborn event. Natasha had the vision to throw a mid court one handed skip pass to an open teammate on the block, and split defenders on a drive then make a baseline pass to the corner. She has the speed to cut through defenders and either score or create for teammates. Shell is continuing to impress and she can compete with the best.
