Schroeder, along with sister Piper and Ottawa commit Addisen Wills Addisen Wills 5'5" | PG Halstead | 2026 State KS , are a three-guard front with serious experience and skills. The quick, fast shooter is a big part of the Dragon pressure game and showed diversity in her finishing shots. Among them is a very quick release floater off the drive that also will be a short jumper at times. Her being a two-way threat is one of the reasons the Dragons have fought their way through a tough league and sub-state field to enter the state tournament undefeated with a legitimate shot to repeat.

I have watched Schroeder’s game grow substantially over the last two years. Her lateral quickness caught up with her speed this season, which turned out to be a breakout season. When her sister, and Dragons leading scorer, Piper went down with an injury late in the season she picked her game up a couple notches – helping Halstead win the 3A state title. An aggressive scorer and rebounder and an agitating half court defender Schroeder not only walked away with Central Kansas League honorable mention honors but also gained state level recognition. KBCA, KSHSAA and SIK all tabbed her for 3A honorable mention honors. Halstead has nearly everybody back to defend their title and Schroeder will play a big role in the effort.

Schroeder is ranked No. 66 overall in the Kansas Class of 2027 and is a good bet to move up in the rankings when they are next updated. She has the versatility to play multiple positions. She scored a total of 32 points in three state tournament games, including a 16-point effort in Halstead’s Class 3A championship game victory over Silver Lake.

I saw Schroeder in both sub-state and 3A state tournament games. She brought quickness, speed, solid positional size and a high motor to the table. Add in her ability to score the ball with range beyond the arc and off the drive and you had a physical, active presence on both ends of the floor. A strong rebounding guard as well.
