Avi Burmenko | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Joy is a strong finisher around the rim who uses her body well to create space and score through contact. She has a smooth floater game in the paint and makes smart reads out of pick-and-roll situations. With the ball in her hands, she is quick and difficult to contain, allowing her to consistently pressure defenses and create offense.

Joy Robsinson (2028) | SG | TRS
Robinson had 16 pts against a rowdy bunch in Milton Academy. Although Rivers lost by 5, the opponents weren’t able to fully contain Joy. It’s nice to see her get more assertive in the scoring department.

A name that’s been featured many times throughout the year. Robinson has a compelling argument to be one of top-ranking players in the entire class and she hasn’t even fully blossomed yet. Her impact on winning is undeniable; Joy makes it her point to do whatever it takes to put her team in the best position. It’ll be nice to see Joy be more assertive on the offensive end. This could take her game to new heights this season.

Joy Robinson (2028) | 5’7 Guard | Rivers
Mentioned many times this season, for good reason though. The freshman guard has been tasked with many duties on the floor. Sort of a “Swiss army knife” type of player that has been a glue figure on the team. Not a heavy scorer at the moment, but she’s affecting the game in every other way. Even while in a fight to win the title, the young guard’s multifaceted skillset made her a confident choice for the coach. Not many freshmen in the entire region have showed the capacity Joy has thus far. Night in and night out she goes beyond her duties to get her team the win.

Joy Robinson (2028) | 5’7 SG | Rivers
Joy has been providing dependable play for Rivers all season long and this game was no different for the freshman wing. She played solid defense that resulted in a couple of steals; these contributed to quick transition points early on in the game. Robinson also exhibited her long-range shooting ability by knocking down a fluent 3 off an inbound possession. With Joy starting to hit her shots consistently, she’s a scary prospect in ’28.

Joy Robinson (2028) | 5’7 CG | Rivers
Team Sims just seems to be producing the next generation of upcoming stars in New England and Joy is certainly one of those players. The Rivers’ freshman is contributing solid minutes while playing a consistent style early. Initially, coming into the season there wasn’t a considerable expectation coming from the young guard. However, Joy’s tenacious all-around game has made her factor on the floor this year. She doesn’t contribute heavily to the points category yet, but she’s finding her groove. Also remember she’s a freshman playing with some of the best talent in the region. With that being said, Joy has still found a way add value to a team littered with vets. Logging important minutes in NEPSAC play will do wonders for her in AAU, where she’ll get back to being a primary option. This’ll be a year that Joy will flourish.

Joy Robinson (2028) | 5’7 CG/ Wing | Rivers
Joy made it to this list not for her statistics, but for her efforts put forth as a young player contributing to team wins. She’s been a big surprise in the class by becoming somewhat of an over achiever. Without the hype that comes with being at the top of the class, she has been able to come onto the high school scene and carve out impactful minutes for herself. In the latest game watched vs St. Mark’s, Joy’s 6pts 4reb 1ast and 1stl game seriously pitched in for the team win. Every minute is treasured; she made the most out of her time on the floor. Robinson wasn’t backing down from the high intensity competitive nature the grade a upperclassman she shared the court with. Even though the stats didn’t jump out, the aggressiveness couldn’t be denied, especially in some measures as an underrated freshman.
