Kai is a very good mid-range shooter who does a great job elevating over defenders and knocking down pull-up jumpers. She also has extremely deep range from beyond the arc. Kai plays with a lot of effort and is always willing to dive on the floor to make a play. When she gets into the paint, she makes good decisions between finishing at the rim or stopping quickly for her mid-range jumper.

Kai has been underrated for years, but the ability has always been there for those who have been paying attention. She showed up in a major way at the EYG Skills Clinic, putting her entire offensive bag on display. She made shots from all over the floor and got to the basket at will, showing the versatility that makes her such a difficult matchup.

Kai also looked like she may have grown a little taller than her listed 5’9” height, which only adds to her upside. She will be playing at a new school this upcoming season, and expectations should be high for a player of her caliber.

Kai is one of the more versatile defenders in the area, with a true ability to guard four positions. As a guard is a good interior scorer and blows by bigger players. As the primary facilitator, she communicated well, keeping her team organized while balancing tempo with playmaking.

I didn’t see Kai at first, perhaps she showed up late but she made her presence felt from her first shot a catch and shoot three from the wing. She was terrific in the open court driving hard for finishes. She made one three while eyeing the scorers table surprising everyone on the court. She rebounded and defended well and was definitely one of the best players in the building.

Kai was a handful for anyone guarding her today. She showed off her range by knocking down multiple three pointers. When teams closed out she was able to punish them with her mid range game where she shot over defenders, and with some strong finishes at the rim. Very strong performance today.

Kai looked pretty good taking over as the lead option at Riverdale Baptist. She played and defended multiple positions. She had a nice step over three pointer, she drove well and used the floater nicely and looked good turning and facing from the high post for the jumper. She had a big 19 point performance against the Miller School. She went down in her last game with a leg injury and didn’t return. We will keep track on her return.

Kai has the offensive skills to play at the collegiate level as she came off the bench and quickly put up five points from a wing three and smooth floater as she entered the paint within minutes, showing off her multi-level scoring ability all weekend.

More importantly Kai showed off her value as a two-way player being able to defend multiple positions. Within the weekend she able to create a strong stat line on why she is ready for the next level. Kai finished with 5 assists, 13 rebounds, and 9 steals.

Davis is a versatile two-way guard who defends multiple positions and contributes offensively in a variety of ways. She plays with physicality and brings strong energy on both ends. Her upside and impact make her a key piece moving forward.

Kai is another player for Bishop Ireton who does not need to score at a high volume to earn her minutes. Her size and defensive balance allow her to guard multiple positions in the open court, providing consistent value on that end of the floor. While on the court, Kai posted a +9 point differential for the Cardinals and was efficient at the free-throw line, converting 75 percent of her attempts.
